Bringing FUN, well organised tournaments to young junior golfers in Surrey & Sussex

Following the success of last year’s Junior Tour, Mike Yorke Golf Academy are proud to announce the launch of their 2011 competition, for Boys & Girls aged between 6 and 14 year old. Open to all children with an interest in golf, the Tour hopes to attract talent from across the South East of England.

We are proud to announce that due to its achievements in its primary year (2010) the MYGAJT has received sponsorship for the 2011 season from United Business Machines (UBM Ltd). This exciting new partnership enables the MYGAJT to expand and develop its popular tournaments throughout 2011 season in Surrey & Sussex.

Mark Richecoeur PGA Senior Coach, continues to show his ongoing commitments to junior golf throughout the 2011 season as he heads these exciting events. Neil Plimmer, a Golf Monthly top 25 PGA coach and newly appointed Director of Juniors at the Academy is also keen to strengthen youth involvement in golf, across the South East so will be showing his support at each event.

We have designed the Junior Tour to offer value for money as we are keen to coach children from all backgrounds. Juniors will play different lengths of competitions, according to their physical age and will complete either 9 or 18 holes at each event. We want all participants to learn from the discipline & etiquette of Golf, whilst having fun with like-minded peers.
