Our aim at the academy is to deliver outstanding golf lessons that not only improve a player’s ability but also builds their self-confidence and attitude towards their golf.

We welcome all standards of golfer and offer a wide range of instruction in either a group format or on a one to one basis. Lessons are available from our team of P.G.A. Qualified Professionals 7 days a week from early morning through till dusk.

Mike Yorke turned professional in 1990 and like most young pros’ had ambitions of becoming the next Open Champion. As a player Mike competed for a number of years on various circuits including the then “Futures Tour”. Whilst pursuing his playing ambitions Mike was given the chance to teach and instantly discovered a new passion. Since then throughout his career he has successfully coached all standards of player ranging from beginners through to professionals and has been fortunate to meet and study many of the worlds leading instructors such as John Jacobs, Scott Cranfield and Denis Pugh to name but a few.

With the knowledge and experience gained, he opened the first MYGA in March 2003 with the objective of setting a new standard in golf instruction.

As a professional Mike is still chasing his golfing dreams and along with his team look forward to welcoming you to Horne Park and the challenge of fulfilling your golfing ambitions too.
